Please pay attention to the No Parking signs!
To effectively clear winter debris and prevent runoff from entering our storm water system before the annual water line flushing by the Red Lion Municipal Authority, we require the cooperation of all residents during our street sweeping.
Please adhere strictly to the following regulations:
- “No Parking” signs are posted in advance of scheduled sweeping to allow sufficient time for vehicles to be moved.
- All vehicles must be removed from the street while these signs are posted.
- Do not move your vehicle back onto the street until the “No Parking” signs have been physically removed by Borough personnel.
- Failure to comply is a violation of the Borough ordinance and will result in a $50.00 parking ticket.
Notifications will be made on Facebook and Savvy Citizen of street sweeping scheduled routes.
Additional Guidance
- Debris: Residents may sweep small stones and cinders from their sidewalks into the street immediately prior to the scheduled sweeping time in their area.
- Tree and Shrubbery Clearance: Per Borough Ordinance, trees must be trimmed to provide a minimum clearance of 14 feet above and along the edge of the roadway and 9 feet above sidewalks. Maintaining this clearance prevents damage to Borough equipment and allows for thorough street sweeping.
